Not arguing with that. However when in a Form, a global is a true global variable. ~Sven Kifoogenli 15.Jan.04 12:19 PM a Web browser Domino Designer 6.0.3Windows 2000
Guys,
In this particular case, I'm using global variables in a couple of places; first in the globals section of a form, but then also in multiple subforms in some cases, so it's not quite as simple as Bill makes out. I am aware it's a messy way of doing things, but it's a typical situation where a client has changed their minds so many times the code ends up going various places to save time in the short term.....however
I do understand the difference between local and global variables (I've an R5 PCLP in LS). I know that a global variable is available throughout the actual element it's declared in, e.g. global subform variable is available to all functions, events, etc within that subform), but what I'm saying stands.
I've reported a fair few of my bugs for release 6.0.2 CF2 to Lotus and they've been identified as valid, so please don't be so quick to label me "totally wrong" and slate me before you know the whole story.
